Description
Sr. Project Manager
Product Engineering is responsible for the development, integration, test, trial, and deployment of new video, voice, data, and cross-platform products and services. The Senior Engineering Project Manager collaborates with the Lead Product Engineer and cross-organizational core team to deliver new products in accordance with scope, schedule, and cost requirements.
The Senior Engineering Project Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing critical innovation projects through all phases of development within the confines of assigned resources and defined budget and scope. Prepares detailed work breakdown structures (WBS) and leverages assigned project team to ensure successful completion of project within committed time frame.
The Senior Engineering Project Manager is responsible for establishing internal and vendor relationships, directing and monitoring all activities associated with a specific project. The Senior Engineering Project Manager must demonstrate the ability to identify and understand critical path and dependencies as related to the project and how it strategically fits into the overall company roadmap and strategic business initiatives.
The Senior Engineering Project Manager maintains a transparent line of communication with the company’s Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO), providing status reporting, risk assessment and dependency synchronization information. This includes delivering executive level presentations and reports through EPMO organized briefings.
REPORTS TO: Sr. Director Cross-Platform Applications, Product Engineering
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Primary focus is on execution, as such is engaged when the project has been added to the POR and has been assigned to the project by manager
• Coordinates project assessments before project gets added to POR
• Prepares draft of proposal/ inclusive of budget, sows, and proposed staffing resources for Product Engineering & SBI lead review
• Ensures trial and deployment scope, architecture, and budget data as they may evolve throughout a project are communicated to stakeholders, including the EPMO.
• Oversees all activities related to development of solutions and the deployment of infrastructure including scheduling, tech trial, conduct field trial surveys reports, and change requests.
• Inputs and tracks detail project tasks, risks, status, schedules in standard enterprise tools (ie. Clarity) in a consistent and timely manner.
• Reports relevant status to Program and engineering managers in a timely and consistent manner.
• Implements established processes to reduce risks and exposure in all areas of the project
• Ensures administration activities emphasize efficiency, quality.
• Escalates issues and concerns to immediate manager, engineering manager, and program manager (as appropriate) in a timely manner.
• Establishes and maintains schedules, drives activities, identifies risks and dependencies and develops mitigation strategies, works with internal development team, and when necessary external partners and certification agencies.
• Meets with program manager and solution owner on a regular basis

QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s
Degree, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering or other technical field, or equivalent work experience.
PMP Certification or equivalent experience preferred
DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Demonstrated expertise in related industry or demonstrated proficiency in many areas of project leadership over a period of twelve months. (Ex. Project Management training and certification, advanced or specialized training, certifications, or degree.)
- 7+ years of experience working on complex, innovative projects
- Strong background in process creation, improvement, and management
- Advanced knowledge of project management techniques and tools.
- Personally developed successful client/vendor relationships.
- Demonstrated exceptional problem solving skills.
- Proven excellence in customer service.
